Annie Lennox
[ Предположительная тональность: C ]

Notes: This song was originally performed with keyboard, in a way that allows for more complex
chord voicings. I have adapted it in a way I think sounds best for acoustic guitar.
For example, I prefer Am to Am7, though both are correct, in part because the vocal part often
sings the 7. I tend to play the F(maj7) as an F/C with an open E, because that allows for an easy
change of the bass note to G; otherwise, a straight F with the low root works fine for that as well.
This explains some of the differences from the last version, but I have also corrected some chords
in the pre-chorus and included all the lyrics at the end.

Intro: ( C C7M/B    Am G/B ) x 2

C C7M/B               Am G/B
(Why ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah)
C C7M/B               Am G
(Why ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah)

C G/B Am F7M       F/G
How many times do I have to try to tell you that I'm sorry for the
C G/B Am F7M        F/G
things I've done uh uh uh
C G/B Am
but when I start to try to tell you, that's when you have to tell me hey,
             F7M           F/G
this kind of trouble's only
C G/B Am F7M         G
just begun

D Bm9
I tell myself too many times why don't you ever learn to
F#m G7M      G7M/A
keep your big mouth shut
D Bm9
that's why it hurts so bad to hear the words that keep on
F#m G7M      G7M/A
falling from your mouth
F7M
falling from your mouth
D7
falling from your mouth, tell me

C G/B Am7 F F/G
Why ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah
C G/B Am7 F F/G
Why ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah

C G/B Am
I may be mad I may be blind I may be viciously unkind
           F F/G
but I can still read what you're
C G/B Am F F/G
thinking uh uh uh
C G/B Am
and I've heard it said too many times that you'd be better off besides
               F F/G
why can't you see this boat is
C G/B Am F F/G
sinking, this boat is sinking, this boat is sinking

BRIDGE:

D Bm9
Let's go down to the water's edge and we can
F#m G7M      G7M/A
cast away those doubts
D Bm9
Some things are better left unsaid but they still
F#m G7M      G7M/A
turn me inside out

F7M
turning inside out
D7
turning inside out tell me

C G/B Am F F/G
Why ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah Tell me
C G/B Am F F/G
Why ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah

C G/B Am F F/G (repeat for the rest)
This is the book I never read
These are the words I never said
This is the path I'll never tread
These are the dreams I'll dream instead
This is the joy that's seldom spread
These are the tears... The tears we shed
This is the fear, This is the dread
These are the contents of my head
And these are the years that we have spent
And this is what they represent
And this is how I feel-do you know how I feel?
'Cause I don't think you know how I feel
I don't think you know what I feel
(Why ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah)
I don't think you know what I feel
You don't know what I feel
