The song is played in Open E tuning. This means you have to tune up the A
and the D string up one note and the G string up one semi tone. I don't
like tuning strings up that much, as I sometimes tend to break strings.
I'd suggest to tune strings down, using Open D, and then using a capo on
the 2nd fret to bring it back to Open E:

tuning: Open D (D-A-D-F#-A D)
capo: 2nd fret (sounds: E-B E-G#-B E = Open E)
key: E
